Who we are and what you are agreeing to

Loveclub is provided by Barek Technologies Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria and based in Abuja (“Loveclub”, “we”, “us”). These terms are a legal agreement between you and Barek Technologies Ltd about your use of the Loveclub app and the myloveclub.ai website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Loveclub. These terms are written in English; the Spanish version is provided for convenience and the English text governs if they differ.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement. Loveclub is not for minors, and we may close accounts we reasonably believe belong to anyone under 18.

What Loveclub provides

Loveclub provides relationship prompts, guided conversations (Grow closer), games and small shared things such as the Jar and letters for later, planning tools, reminders, private memory features, chapters, couple quizzes, widgets, educational resources, and optional AI-assisted personalisation. It is a self-guided consumer product for adults in a relationship. It is not therapy, counselling, or medical, mental-health, legal, or emergency care, and it is not a substitute for any of them. Loveclub does not promise any particular relationship outcome.

Accounts and security

Give accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Loveclub is for one relationship at a time. Your partner can make their own account and pair with your code; each of you is responsible for your own account, and what you share through paired features (the Wall, games, Grow closer, the Jar, and letters) is visible to the person you paired with. You can unpair at any time. You can also end a relationship in Settings, which permanently deletes everything about the two of you from your account; we keep no copy, so export your data first if you want one.

Your content and your partner's information

You keep all rights in the text, photos, answers, plans, memories, and other content you add. You give Loveclub only the permission it needs to run the service for you: to host, store, back up, process, resize, transmit, and display that content to you and, where a feature shares it, to the partner you paired with or invited, and to generate the personalised suggestions you asked for. This permission ends when the content or your account is deleted, except for copies in short-lived backups. It never allows us to sell your content, use it in advertising, or use it to train AI models. Much of what you add is about your partner. Add only what you are entitled to share, tell your partner you use Loveclub, and do not use Loveclub to monitor, impersonate, threaten, coerce, or harass anyone. Your partner may ask us to remove information about them, and we may do so. Suggestions: if you send us an idea, for example through Suggest a game or a topic, you allow us to use it to improve Loveclub without owing you anything for it; we will never publish your name with it.

Partner invites and quizzes

Couple-quiz links and Know Your Partner invite links are for voluntary responses from your partner. Do not misrepresent why you are collecting answers or pressure anyone to complete one. Answers your partner gives become part of your relationship's data and, for the quiz, are shown to both of you in the reveal. Links are single-use, expire after seven days, and can be opened by anyone who has them, so share them carefully. Anonymous research from quiz answers only happens if both of you switch it on.

AI-assisted output

Where a feature uses AI, the app says so. AI-generated or classified output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. Review suggestions before relying on or sharing them, and never treat automated output as a diagnosis, professional advice, or a statement of fact about you or another person. The safety check can point you to resources; it does not monitor you, alert anyone, or replace professional help. Loveclub uses non-AI fallbacks when an AI feature is off, unavailable, or fails validation.

Acceptable use

Do not break the law; violate another person's rights or privacy; add content about someone that you have no right to share; submit malware, credentials, or unlawful content; bypass access controls or rate limits; reverse engineer the service except where the law permits it; interfere with the service; scrape it at scale; or use it to build or train a competing model or product without written permission. We may remove content and restrict accounts that breach this section. To report content or conduct that concerns you, email support@myloveclub.ai.

Third-party services

Optional sign-in, AI, push-notification, calendar, map, place-search, billing, hosting, and app-store features rely on third parties, and their terms may also apply to you (for example Apple's Media Services Terms or Google Play's Terms of Service when you buy Plus). Loveclub is not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, or account-recovery decisions.

Loveclub Plus subscription

Loveclub Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play at US $9.99 per month or US $49.99 per year (the store shows the equivalent price in your local currency, which is the price you pay). One Plus membership covers both people in a relationship. There is no free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase, and the subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings (Settings → Account → Manage membership links there); cancelling stops future charges and you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. Because Apple and Google bill you, refunds are handled by the store under its policies, and we will help you with the request. A free account gets a daily idea every day for its first seven days, then three a week; three Say conversations a month; three Grow closer conversations; and one round of Hoops a day. The other Grow closer conversations, unlimited Hoops, Golf, and the full set of widgets are part of Plus, and Plus removes the limits above. Nothing you have created — memories, photos, plans, answers, notes, chapters, exports — is ever placed behind Plus, and reading it is always free. If we change the price of an existing subscription, the store will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies. You can restore an earlier purchase with Restore purchases on the Plus screen.

Terms that apply to the Apple App Store version

If you obtained Loveclub from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and Barek Technologies Ltd only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price to you (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation. Barek Technologies Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer-protection claims, and claims that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Availability and changes to the service

We may update, add, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, or improve the service. We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. If we discontinue Loveclub, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask you to accept it. If you do not agree, stop using Loveclub and delete your account before the change takes effect; continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms. The date above shows the latest revision.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Loveclub at any time and can delete your account in Settings or through the public account-deletion page. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address serious or repeated violations, security threats, fraud, legal requirements, or harm to others; where practicable we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including content rights, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) remain effective.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Loveclub is provided “as is” and “as available”, without implied guarantees beyond rights that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Barek Technologies Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, or relationships, arising from use of the service, and our total liability to you for all claims relating to Loveclub in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and US $50. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit; if you live in the EU, UK, or another place with mandatory consumer protections, those protections apply and prevail over anything to the contrary here.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria, except that if you are a consumer living in a country whose law gives you the protection of its mandatory consumer rules and courts (for example the EU, the UK, or a US state), you keep that protection and may bring a claim in your local courts. Before starting any legal claim, please write to support@myloveclub.ai; we will try in good faith to resolve the matter with you within 30 days. Nothing in these terms requires you to arbitrate or prevents you from bringing a claim as part of a group where your local law allows it.

General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about Loveclub. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may assign these terms to a successor of our business; you may not assign them. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
